The Perfect Gift (Confetti Kids - Dive Into Reading)

This story is about a young girl, Mei, who wants to gift her younger brother, Ming, on his 100th day of life. It is part of Chinese culture and customs. Mei's mom lets Mei invite her friends to the party and they all help Mei to find out the perfect gift for her baby brother. After a lot of searching, still, Mei was still unable to find a gift for Ming. However, Mei's Grandma consoles her and tells her that a perfect gift comes from the heart. Voila! Mei decides to give a book of drawings as a gift.

This story is very adorable and feels really close to our hearts. The illustrations in this book are very simple but they are very effective and bright colored. The book is divided into small chapters and this would be very suitable for elementary kids.
