The Flame of Olympus (Pegasus series Book 1)

11/19/2023

The story happens in the New York City (Manhattan). The story starts with an epic battle in Olympus, where a thief tries to steal the golden bridle of Pegasus. The war is lost and Pegasus escapes to the mortal world. Due to a heavy storm, Pegasus crashes onto a house's roof.

Emily has always been fascinated by mythical flying horses and hence, she befriends Pegasus. Unfortunately, its wings are injured, which Emily is not able to mend. However, Emily remembers her schoolmate Joel, who draws pictures of Pegasus in hias book during class time. Joel is not ready to believe this story of "Pegasus on the roof", but he agrees to help Emily out. And so, the adventure begins...

Similar to "Percy Jackson", this is a great book for kids who are interested in Roman gods. I would say it is most suited to a middle schooler, but it could be fascinating to an upper-elementary kid as well.

An uplifting story of a pessimistic selfish hare who doesn't like to share and work in a community. A very significant yet simple story in today's narrow-minded world!
