Title: Revony Rhinoceros Starts to Smile
Author: Patricia Bardina, Joanne Burgess
Illustrator: Paul Sharp
Publisher: Gatekeeper Press
Revony is a rhinoceros who wants to play with others and to make new friends. But, she is a little scared and anxious of approaching others. Moreover, other animals ignore her as she doesn't look at them or smile. Due to this reason, others are not sure if they are welcome or not. Revony is extremely sad about this. She goes to a friend's birthday party but she doesn't know any of the other guests and is scared to approach others.
One day, when her mom notices this, she teaches Revony about the role of body language in friendship and conversations. Her mom tells Revony that she needs to be open and friendly in order for others to play with her. Yes, we might be nervous to do this and it would take time for us, but it is always worth giving a try.
Does Revony change herself? Does she make new friends?
📚 This entertaining and relatable story teaches the importance of body language in communication.
