Hope in a Jar

03/06/2025

I'm an ardent fan of this 'Jar' series of books, all of which teach vital life lessons in a simple and kid-decipherable way! 'In a Jar', 'Out of a Jar', and now this 'Hope in a Jar'.

Title: Hope in a Jar

Author / Illustrator: Deborah Marcero

Publisher: G.P. Putnam's Sons Books for Young Readers

Llewellyn is a bunny and he has 2 more friends (bunnies) in this story. All of them dream about a lot of things in life, some dreams are tiny (like learning to ice skate) whereas some are huge (like landing on the moon)! They feel that the dreams should be safeguarded, hence all of them store their dreams inside small glass jars. However, as life always does, there comes a violet storm! Of course, all their glass jars get destroyed in the storm!

Llewellyn and his friends are heartbroken because 'What was the point of dreaming if everything could be lost?' Yes, this is a common life occurrence.

But, there is a saying "when things get tough, the tough get going"!

Hope helps rebuild! Hoping for the best is our defense against dark times. So, Llewellyn and his friends decide to continue rebuilding their jar of dreams, grateful for what they were left with, hoping for a better tomorrow!

📚 A gorgeously illustrated story of perseverance and resilience, despite challenges on the way!

📚 Gorgeous illustrations.

📚 Recommended for kids ages 3+
