Bear Stays Up for Christmas

Bear usually sleeps through Christmas and this year, his friends are making sure he stays up for Christmas. Bear's friends hang out all together with Bear doing various Christmas activities like finding a Christmas tree, baking cakes, hanging up stockings, and singing Christmas songs. This was intentional as they didn't want Bear to sleep this Christmas too. But, at last, Bear stays awake and his friends get tired and fall asleep!

The awesome thing about this book is that it shows it is "more blessed to give than receive". It also shows us the importance of being a good friend to others. 

This book would be a perfect read-aloud for toddlers and little kids. It would also serve as a good read for lower-level elementary kids. The story is simple and short, yet it comes with a lesson. The illustrations are superlative and a great accompaniment to the story.
