This is a fairy tale retelling series, but the author has a very unique way here and the stories are exciting and have an unpredictable pattern. In this story, Abby and her friends enter a book because an evil fairy is trying to trap Abby in the story. They are transported to the The Wonderful Wizard of Oz! 

Abby and her friends are excited to meet Dorothy and Toto. However, the Wicked Witch of the East locks them in her dungeon. But, Abby and her friends have to get the magic slippers to escape and take Dorothy home. They also have to save the Emerald City which is in danger. What happens... read and see... 

This book and the series would be particularly exciting and interesting for middle-grade kids. If you are someone who loves fantasy, this would be a worthwhile imaginative tale.
